Give Back This Holiday Season: Different Ways You Can Help Your Community

I know it’s hard to do, but can you imagine what it would be like if you or your children experienced food insecurity or did not have warm clothing for the cold Colorado winters? Sadly, many families in our community are facing this emotionally devastating reality. At Enterprise Coworking, we have partnered with our members from Denver Presbyterian Church to set up donation bins for children and adults in need.

Please join us by helping support the families and children in need in our community by donating canned food, non-perishable food, coats, winter hats and gloves.

Project Worthmore: Coat Collection for Refugees

Many refugees come to Denver from warm climates and with few belongings. Help our neighbors prepare for winter by providing a practical need of gently used or new coats. Coats will be donated to Project Worthmore, a nonprofit located in Aurora serving local refugees. Please follow the link to learn more about the ways Project Worthmore is helping refugees, also find out how you can support this nonprofit by donating your time or other resources. This coat drive will go through Christmas.

Denver Rescue Mission: Canned Food Drive

Help provide canned and non-perishable food for homeless people in Denver. Food goes to the Denver Rescue Mission, directly to their kitchen, which provides meals to homeless people in the area. This canned food drive will go to December 15th. Learn more about the Denver Rescue Mission, to donate or contribute your time by volunteering.

Columbine Elementary School: Winter Gear Drive

Grace & Peace Church, a plant church of Denver Presbyterian, is running a hat & glove drive for some of the children and parents at Columbine Elementary School. The school is located at 29th & Columbine, there are a number of overwhelmingly poor and homeless families in this school district who are in need of some warm winter gear. The goal is to collect 50 pairs of hats and 50 pairs of gloves for kids, 50 pairs of hats and 50 pairs of gloves for adults. This winter gear drive will go through Christmas.

The donation bins for the charities listed above can be found in the lower level kitchen throughout the holiday season and we will ensure the items get to those who need them.
